Okay, here is the situation. My father passed away last summer unexpectedly so that is a fresh wound in my life. Now, because I am working towards becoming a foster parent, I have to write an in-depth story of my childhood and my adult years. Here are just a few of the questions that I have to answer for my foster parent profile. Take a gander.
Describe your growing up years
Describe the personalities of your parents & relationships with your parents
Describe the communication systems within your parents' relationship
Describe the personalities of your siblings & relationship with your siblings
Describe how probs were handled and resolved in your family of origin
What are you best and worst memories?
Now how do I handle these questions? Do I answer honestly as I should? Do I play down some things to make it more palatable? Do I even have the courage to write down the truth as I see it knowing that my Dad is watching from above? These are some of the questions that I am dealing with today. I don't have any answers so far, but I am sure that I will, eventually. That is all for today. That is really enough for any day, I think.
