HumpDay!
Well, I got through yesterday very well. I went to my pre-op appointment that took all freaking day long. But it did go really well. I met with my surgeon and his assistant and gave them both the third degree. They answered my extremely long list of questions and they seemed to respect my knowledge of the procedure. So, the biggest obstacle is infection at the closure site. But I will get IV antibiotics on the day of surgery and hopefully no nasty infections!!! So after I dealt with the surgeon for an hour in my own version of the Spanish Inquisition, I had lots of other appts to deal with. BUT, there was this woman there who has the same surgeon that I have and she is having surgery on Monday too! So, once we figured that out, we were best buds! We went to all the other offices together and made plans to do some post-op walking together. Good stuff I think. I did all the paperwork and registration stuff, and now I just have to wait until Friday to find out what time the surgery is. I am ready to get this party started. Now we play The Waiting Game. Oh well, I will just have to play spider solitaire 24-7 til Monday~! Think happy thoughts for me please!!!!

I always think happy thoughts for you! I am glad that your appointment went pretty well, and that your engaging demeanour is already winning you friends and influencing people. I hope you recall your friendly encounter after the surgery, because, as I remember, sometimes you can be only slightly less pleasant after sedation, and I wouldn't want you to accidently curse out your surgery partner!
