The Internet- a blessing or a curse???

Okay, so I went to my stinking surgeon to discuss my options. Well, he is going to go ahead and take a gander and if everything looks good, he will reverse my ostomy. Interesting. I am going to call tomorrow, well later today rather, and set it up. I've been looking up all sorts of stuff on the internet, most of it rather grim to say the least. There was one good article, but I don't know if the fact that it was written by a hospital that makes big money on these surgeries should let that cloud the objectivity of the article. It makes me feel better, well in theory. After reading tons of horror stories on the subject of ileostomy reversal, I decided to repot some of my plants. But it was late AND cold outside. So I whipped out a few trash bags, rearranged a bit of furniture, and had my own inside garden center. It was a lot of fun, kind of like you finger painting was when you were a kid. But as an adult, I hate finger painting. It is so messy. Odd. Anyhow, I have not made my weekend call to the grandma. I will talk to her eventually, but after spending a depressing and painful hour on the phone with my Aunt Annie, I am vocally spent. Actually, I didn't do a lot of talking. Annie was kvetching about her poor health (a headache I think it was this time). So, oh well for that. Now I just have to call the old doc and make the appointment. The problem that I will continue to deal with until the actual surgery is the knowledge that I will be in pain, possibly a great deal of pain. And I don't want to. But you just have to suck it up sometimes as my sis says. So suck away!!!! Okay, hope Monday goes well for everyone. Yes, I started mine early, but has been informative if nothing else. Later, Beth
