Another lovely day in the life of....moi. Today's theme was total humiliation, a great theme I am sure you can support. Glenn was feeling all davy crockett, and wanted to "ruff it" in the woods of North Carolina (read public park). A great idea for all of us, including the little dog. Only one small detail was ignored; the stomach bug I am currently harboring.
So, after driving around for a bit, we got some subs sandwiches to go, and then went in search of the new park. This "park" turned out to be a fabulous piece of redneck property with "private property" signs as far as the eye could see. Lovely, true. But when the two redneck home-owners walked out on the porch and pointed their shotguns at our cute little car, we decided to go to our usual park.
By the time glenn ordered our food, and brought it out to the car, and remembered that he hadn't paid, and then came back, I was getting a bit grumpy due to hunger. But we had warm(ish) sandwiches and so we decided to picnic. As soon as we walked out on one of the trails, I realize that I had to use the facilities. So, I proceded to haul butt to the restrooms, ***locked***. Dang it!
So..... I had to answer the call of the wild in the wild, not something I am proud of, mind you. But when I realized that my paper towel supply would not last indefinately, we headed back to the homestead, to civilization. That is where I am now, at home in my pjs, drinking lemon water to stave off dehydration for another day.
Happy weekend all.....;)
