Men are NOT complete idiots, as previously thought

Well, I cannot speak for all men, but my sweet hubby is cute AND smart! It has been about 3 weeks now since I tried to get my Crohn's med filled. Although I wasn't initially excited about taking this med (paregoric), I do have a much better quality of life with it. So, the last few weeks have been rough. I called my GI's nurse, and she dropped the ball on this one (dang woman!). I called the pharmacy and had them fax my surgeon a request for the RX weeks ago. I have called to check on it regularly. Pharmacist continually says "No reply from the doc yet". And because docs cannot call in certain categories of drugs over the weekend, I kind of figured I was out of luck. Not to mention that this RX usually has to be ordered from another pharmacy and transferred to mine. BUT, here is the smart man part, Glenn suggested that I call my surgeon's RN just one more time. We both know how bad my days can get without the right meds. And when I am not happy, neither is he. Although I had figured this particular RN to be slightly moronic, I called her just one more time, to make Glenn happy. And after figuring out that the nurse, let's call her "Azz", had transposed the pharmacy fax and telelphone numbers (verifying the moron issue), I gave her the pharmacy number again and she is calling it in!!!! Apparently, she got the first fax, but Azz figured that it was the pharmacy's responsibility to call me back and let me know that Azz is a dummy and messed up the phone numbers. So while some folks might be slightly bitter about the idiot nurse that my surgeon has, I am just happy that I was able to explain my situation to her in very small words, and that I will be able to leave the house again shortly!!! YEAH FOR ME!!!
