In tune with the universe
It seems that my gradually developed skills of doing nothing has made me very in tune with the universe, even more so than usual. Now normally, I will pick up the phone to call my sis and my call waiting will beep in with her on the other line. Or, I might be singing a particular song and Jen will send me an email about the song, stuff like that. So, Jennifer and I are quite close and I have come to expect this in our relationship. However, I am now branching out. I sent a card to a girlfriend of mine in VA last week. My galpal received the card in the mail yesterday afternoon. Unfortunately, due to some chronic health conditions, she then went to the hospital around 6 in the evening. At 2:30 AM she got back from the hospital and opened the card. Inside the card, I told her to have a little chocolate for me and when her team of doctors fuss, blame it on me. To preface this, I should mention that she was recently diagnosed with skin cancer in addition to being a double lung receipient. The reason that Deb went in to the hospital was due to blood sugar of 660. She had 2 bags of insulin and left the hospital with a reading of 88. Then she read the card I had written. Crazy, huh? It is, I know. So let this be a lesson to all of you smoothie-drinking-health nuts. Apparently playing card games on the computer and sipping coke daintily through a straw is the secret to being in touch with the Universe. A little bit of free advice from me to you. Enjoy! Beth

That's cool. Now can you figure out the lottery numbers, and send those to me in a card?
