I believe that people (especially those involved in their own troubles & such) often benefit by doing goodwill & charitable deeds for others. And whenever I was down to my last dime, something would happen and I would have food to eat. Call it Karma or Divine intervention or whatever you want, but I believe it.
This weekend I brought the subject up to my hubby in conversation. He knows that I have always had a great faith that I would be able to have my needs provided. And as we have had some unexpected financial expenses as of late, I really wanted to do some good things in the world to reinforce my faith that all my needs will be provided for. So, I just spoke of my intentions and the Universe listened. Opportunities abounded! This morning, I was given a reprieve from hours of unpleasant GI issues to drive a neighbor on an errand. AND I was able to do it with zero pit stops. I was also able to give a printer in good working condition (and extra ink cartridges that I paid for!) to someone that needed it. BTW, that one made the old wallet wince, but it was the right thing to do. I was also able to cheer up an old woman with a phone call by thanking her for a recently sent gift. And I have sent her a birthday card with a gift that I know she loves (it is actually cut flowers because she is a very practical woman, like myself, and enjoys the frivolity of their impracticality). I also mailed out a package today to another friend that is in need of some cheer in her life. So overall it was a good day, a tiring day, but a good one. Just be careful for what you voice aloud, because you never know who/what is listening,]. ; )
