HS Surgery

After my outpatient surgery on Tuesday for HS, I feel like crap.
Background:
I have experienced swollen hard spots in my groin and under both arms for the last 2 years. Diagnosed by dermatologist with Hidradenitis Suppurativa.
I've been on 200 mg of Doxy this whole time in order to try to keep the infected areas draining. And I've been in the doc's office for incision and drainages (I&D) at least once a month during the last year.
The last couple of months the area under my right arm has spread, creating new fistulas, or tracts.
The cysts, as they are sometimes called, reoccur often, leaving scar tissue behind.

This go round, I had tissue incision and removal in my right underarm and on the right side of my groin. I did it under "twilight" sedation, and felt fine during and post-op for a couple of hours. But I also had local anesthesia in the two areas prior to surgery. When the meds started wearing off, I was hurting pretty badly, even with the percocet every four to six hours. Each area was stitched, covered with something waterproof, and then covered with a padded bandage. About 9 hours post-op, I was miserable, and moving my arm anywhere resulted in deep, intense throbbing pain. Puked sometime around 10ish due to the sedation. I always do get sick afterwards, so I ask the anesthesiologist for IV Phenergan in advance & this one refused. 24hours post-op, I could shower, but I was still hurting so badly, I chose to be stinky. I did use a lidocaine patch on my underarm, as that is extremely painful (the inflammation, and tissue removal was much deeper in my arm, and more severe than my groin).
I have a follow up in one week to remove stitches. But I'd appreciate any experiences anyone else has had with this procedure. I did contact one other person who had this done, and she said her recovery was around 4 weeks. I guess I will be grumpy and hurt in the meanwhile. And eat chocolate. Then eat more chocolate. Have a great freakin' day. :P
