Please open the link and read the comments we’ve compiled to voice your right to be considered if you should ever have to seek Social Security Disability Insurance from the Social Security Administration. (Please note that while the document is still technically a draft, we are not asking for more comments, just signatures.)

Your name will be added to the master copy of these comments which will then be sent to

SSA Commissioner, Mr. Michael J. Astrue, by the Patient Comment Submission Deadline.



In order to make our deadline, your submission deadline is February 10 at 12 noon.



When we have compiled your signatures and turned it in to SSA, we will keep this link to the document so you can view your name, added in as one loud voice. We will add the SSA link where these and all comments must be published for public access.



You may be worried about the direction your country has taken. You may have fought your disease and health care system for years. You may have worked the hardest you’ve ever worked, during the weakest point in your life … just to apply for SSDI consideration. And you may have been turned down. If you have a digestive disease, you deserve empowerment.

Please bookmark this page. At some (presently unknown) date in the future, there will be actual Proposed Rules put forth by SSA, on which we will again have an opportunity to comment. We will, of course, notify everyone who signs through our system when this happens. There will be a 60-day period at that time for making comments on the proposed rules.



Also, we promise that we will not use the names and email addresses sent to us for commercial or any other purpose other than what we're talking about here, to append to the Comments document that will be submitted to SSA.
