1st Annual Take Steps for Crohn's & Colitis Walk Western Regional Park Maryland, USA Saturday, June 14, 2008


Hello folks! It's me, Beth. As many of you know, I have been dealing with Crohn's Disease for the last 8 years of my life. And I am a huge supporter for additional experimental research, innovative clinical trials, and more extensive genetic studies in the area of IBD. In order to do my part, I'm going to walk, walk, and walk some more for the cure! On Saturday, June 14th, I'll be participating in a fund raising event with the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America. Take Steps for Crohn’s & Colitis is the nation’s largest event dedicated to finding cures for digestive diseases. Not only am I participating in this event, but I am raising money for crucial research that wouldn’t even have been possible a few short years ago.

More than 1.4 million patients across the country suffer from these painful and unpredictable diseases. Beyond raising money for research, Take Steps brings together the community in a fun and energetic atmosphere. Participants are encouraged to make noise and be heard -- raising awareness of these little-known diseases in their community and across the nation.
