Hi beth. I was reading your blogs on http://www.healingwell.com/community/default.aspx?f=33&p=3&m=378958.
Its nice to see that there are other people my age that are going through this. My name is Justin and I'm 2 months away from turning 26. I've only had Crohn's for about a year, but in that year it has really kicked my butt. 6 hospitalizations in 6 months. I recently had a surgery to remove only about 2 inches of my colon. In reading the blogs from 2 years ago, I guess I should count my self lucky that it was only 2 inches. To allow the bowel to heal, I had an Ileostomy. Thankfully there are plans to reverse it in the near future like 6 weeks. Again, in retrospect, a very short period of time. I am fearful that I will have great pain when it is reversed. I had tremendous pain after the surgery to put the ileo in place and remove part of the bowel. I guess I'm leaving a comment because it is so hard to find people my age willing to speak out about CD or blogs that are current. If you know of any good current blogs to talk about CD please let me know. I'd also be interested in hearing what meds you are on. I'm afraid to take pain meds after the reverse cause my GI doc says they caused my most resent bowel obstruction. Anyways, thanks for the sympathetic ear and sorry to bother you.
Hi Beth,
I stumbled into your blog. A friend of mine is currently sailing across the Atlantic to raise money for the CCFA in memory of another good friend who passed three years ago. Here is a link for his campaign: https://www.thepoint.com/campaigns/sussman-at-sea.
Best of luck with everything!
