Speechless

Once upon a time, I did a review of a residential area. Because of that, I received an email alerting me to a new review of the area. When I read this current review, I was completely dumbfounded, awed and shocked. And then I decided to share it here so that you can make up your own mind. Here it is.

Kept ok and pleasant experience overall, but not great neighbors/area

We lived at __________ for under a year 3yrs ago. We're in our 20's. The management was super nice about letting us out of the lease (we had to move; it wasn't their fault). They also gave us back our whole security deposit, which was nice b/c I had put a few tackholes in the walls for paintings, and a small stain, and expected some money withdrawn b/c of that, but they gave it all back!

They were also prompt about fixing a leak the one time we had a maintance problem. The kitchen isn't really fancy-up-to-date, but nothing broke. All in good working order, just not fancy looking. They also helped when I locked myself out--they came RIGHT away, and were very polite--and didn't even charge me for MY mistake.

They didn't come in to 'inspect' all the time, which some nosey apts do. They pretty much were reasonable about that, which is good if you have a pet. By the way, the pet policy is a big PLUS.

The grounds are kept clean and look relatively ok. You hear the trash truck really noisy each week, waking you up on Sats. Some of the people are really trashy too. I once saw a very young girl drinking alchol right on the corner, and I smelled pot sometimes, and saw people reeving their motorcycles up. There is a trailer park nearby, as well as a pawn shop. At times at night coming in, I was a bit scared, but that just might be me being over-reactionary.

So, that said, there were also honest looking asian immigrants just trying to raise kids next door to us, and nice, polite hicks with tattos that weren't bothering anyone, and even offered to help us move our couch out. Sure, they looked trashy, but I guess they were being helpful. So I guess its a mix. Overall, this is a low-mid middle class family neighborhood. Lots of kids playing, swings, and a pool too.

Its a very quick drive into fancy Columbia shopping, and jobs in Baltimore, which was a plus for us. Overall this is a decent deal for the area. Howard County is expensive, and its nice that there's a reasonably-priced place for people that aren't richy-rich yet. The other housing in the area is outrageous.

Finally, there were NO RODENTS or ANY BUGS of any type, which made me very happy. If I see bugs or mice, I'd leave right away. No feces on the counter for me. So you can rest assured that it is clean!
