The Power of a Picture

WooHooo!!!! I was able to talk to my social worker last night before the foster meeting, and she was totally great with it. She was really excited about me being stoma-free, and told me not to worry if I miss one meeting!!! This has taken a huge weight off my shoulders. I have been so freaked out because I really don't want the crap associated with CD to take over my life. Now that I am able to just do it, and know that all the work I've put in to the foster parenting class won't be for nothing, I am HAPPY!!!

AND, kind of on another note, my sister is having a really crappy time right now. She is totally overwhelmed bc her roommate just left her in the lurch, she is also working 3 jobs, and going to grad school. Then, of course, she is worried about me and this stupid surgery crap. Okay, so here is the crazy part..READY???? She asks me to send her a headshot of herself to post for one of her online class assignments. So, I pick out a good one that I have in my picasa, and send it to her. Even though the picture that I am sending is shown on the toolbar and everything, another pic comes thru, one that I haven't even done anything with for months....and it is of my DAD! Remember, he passed away last summer in a boating thing. But the pic that Jennifer and I both see when I hit send is one of him smiling on a camping trip. How weird is that? So I try to resend the pic of Jen 3 more times. Each time, the pic of Dad smiling comes up instead. I think that is really cool and that Dad wants both me and Jen to know that things will work out. Right after that, Jennifer gets emails from 2 different gals that want to move in to her apartment! One more problem is solved! And I chose to believe that Dad had something to do with it. Anyhow, that is all for today. I feel so relieved and way more able to deal with the yadayada of life. Have a great weekend!
