Back from the Big House

Went in Monday for the ostomy closure. It went well, I think. The docs said no signs of fistula activity or adhesions. I went home yesterday after my Surgical assistant and I had some differences opinion. He wanted to let me suffer in pain and I did not want the same. So, off the morphine pump and home with RX for percocet and phenergan. I ate a bit last night and had some saltines today. I feel pretty bad. My back hurts from sitting upright, my tummy has lots of pressure on it, and the rest of me hurts all over. My suture is about 5 inches long on the bottom right of my stomach. They had a local inserted just above that until yesterday. Those holes are minimal. But it does hurt like a joker! Okay, back hurting. Off to lay down some more. Thanks for all the sweet emails, calls, and cards. A special thank you for the beautiful 3 dozen miniature roses from my sis!!! They are very pretty and smell wonderful, better than the best candle ever made. Have a great day!
