Health Updates

Sunday, I took some of the paregoric in the AM, then went out with the hubby for lunch, and we went shopping. I wanted to buy some more containers for dish gardens and then the plan was to go buy some pretty flowers. Well, about 10 minutes after I ate my sandwich, I was in agony. But being hardheaded, I decided that we would continue with out shopping day. I spent the next hour in the bathrooms of all my fav stores. So, I finally told Glenn we should go home and I would take another dose so that I could get started on my planting. We came home, I took a dose, went to the BR only ONCE after that, and we were off again! Glenn also took a new small essential oil bottle with a dropper and filled it with the paregoric so I have that in a little ziplock in my purse. I cannot believe how effective this med is. It is like the one thing that I don't particularly want to take (alcohol) is the most potent med for me. So, at this point, I will take it as directed and possibly even sell my soul to my gi that prescribed it. I can live outside of bathrooms again!!!!! Yeah!!!!!!!!

As far as the PCOS (Poly Cystic Ovarian Syndrome) goes, I finished all my labs, and I need to call and check on those. As soon as I check in with the endocrinologist, I can start two new meds, aldactone and melformim (?). They are supposed to help with my excess hair growth and start my menstration again. THIS MAY BE TMI, but in the last 4 years, I have had maybe 4 periods. And the doc said that increases my chances of cervical cancer by a bazillion percent or something. So, I try these two meds and see what happens. So, that is about all. Now, I should make some calls to check on my labs. Have a great day all! Beth
