Mini Martha

Well, it is official, I have become the mini Martha Stewart. I am just so freaking crafty!!!! After making the candleholders this weekend, I have continued feeding my craft addiction. This week, I have been working on painting 4 wooden collage picture frames (that I got for super cheap at the Family Dollar store) in a lovely semi-gloss white enamel. I decided that I want the frames to kind of blend into the walls, and be very simple, and let the photos have all the attention. Considering that each picture frame holds EIGHT 4x6 pics, I also have to set up all my pics according to theme, size, era, ect. I have two of the four collages set up with the pictures that I want to use and the position for each, but that may change with the finished product. Wooohooooooooooooooooo! Combo fuel for crafting and fuel for OCD, just what I need in my life. ;)

In other news, my weekly reading list for this week includes: "Advice to a Young Wife from an Old Mistress" by Michael Drury and Sylvia Browne's "Blessings from the Other Side". Both of these books are really very good. The Drury book is NOT a smut book, as you might imagine, but it really is a great book for any woman, young or old. It is all about creating your position in life, being independent, and satisfying your own soul. Excellent book!!! Browne's book is possibly my favorite of her books thus far. This particular book is for anyone, great for a Sylvia Browne fan, or for someone who has never ventured into this realm of books. In it, she discusses grief, affirmations, and has excercises used to communicate with your soul. It is a really great book for everyone. Two winners this week! Good stuff! So, have a great week! Beth
