Getting ready for a visit home

Well the house is a mess, but the laundry has been done (mostly), I got a few things left to pack up, and then we will be off to the great state of VA on Saturday AM. Piggy dog is excited about the trip. She seems to have forgotten that Mom's dog, Pepper, tried to eat her the last few times we visited. But we shall see how that goes.


We took Elly to the Thursday after work Concert tonight. It was a good chance for socialization for us and for her. She did great. She even played with a baby, Gloria. Gloria is 11 months old and cute as a button. Her mom and I played with Elly and the baby while the menfolk talked about submarines. Good times, I suppose. But I really don't care to socialize with any of the people in this town really. I think that some places leave an imprint on us, based on who we knew then and what happened in our life while we were there. Not a lot of great stuff has happened since we moved here.

Just to recap, since we have been here: 1.Dad passed away 2.Mom has found her life in quite a predictament 3.We got shot down on the ole foster parent thing 4.I had a horrid ostomy take-down surgery 5.Glenn had a heart attack 6.My gal pal in NorVA went into organ rejection and 7.We got Elly belly from the pound!!!! 6:1 ratio, not looking good


But it will be fun to see my old stomping grounds, visit with the fam, and get in a little driving time to boot! So have a great Friday/Weekend!
