Spring beginnings

I have learned a few things since Spring has unofficially sprung around these parts. I offer these tidbits as a few examples of my pre-spring experiences. Take the lessons for your own if you wish. #1. Birds may seem like delightful little cheery creatures at first, but thanks to a neighbor (Old crazy cat lady, to be exact) that recently put out multiple bird feeders, I must disagree. Birds are noisy and are in fact, early risers. Some folks may enjoy awaking to a cacophony of bird calls as the sun rises, (made worse by the chattering of angry squirrels) but not me! So take your poo and shoo birds, shoo!!!! #2. My sis actually has a job at a prestigious university, mind you, that entails emailing all members within her department on the toilet tissue supply in the ladies restroom. Even more amazing, it seems that one of the gents in said department has taken to ribbing, or heckling, my poor sis as she fills one of her many important job responsibilities. HA! That's pretty funny. #3. Thus far, the weather has been very nice, on the cusp of warm even, and since going outdoors, nearly all of my houseplants have died. It would seem that my plants thrive in a dark, dreary house with virtually no light, lots of neglect, and a touch of abuse from the dog's tail. This is the environment in which my highly loved plants actually THRIVE. Crazy, eh? Yep. #4. Apparently, my dog has the spring-crazies and is undergoing extensive anxiety as a result of this disorder. Ellybelly, aka superdog, is spending more and more time walking with toys, treats, etc, trying to decide where to settle down & play with said item of puppy love. I watched her walk around with a bone for a solid 7 minutes, while she decided if she should eat the bone in her bedroom, in the backyard, in the living room, or in the front yard. What is the world coming to? Well, it's been a long day for me, thanks to a very active RV fistula, so I will go for now. But I will leave you with one last bizzarro thing. When I recently checked my inbox on my email, I found a message entitled - Hey buddy, can you spare a machinist?- True story. This was much to my hubby's delight as he was a machinist in submarines for 6 years. What are the freaking odds? So silly. But I guess it is the little things that make folks happy. :) Have a great weekend. It's almost here!!! Beth

Oh, the blooming of spring causes much changes out there, including, sometimes, dead houseplants and dog bones in the bed.

Bzzzzzzz!
