We all scream for ice cream!!!

Today, from 5-10, Baskin Robbins is offering scoops of ice cream for a mere thirty-one cents a scoop. I have no business whatsoever eating ice cream, even on my best of days, but for a mere thirty-one cents a scoop???? Good golly miss molly! That is some deal. And having an eye for a good deal, I had nearly plastered the walls with numerous sticky notes to remind myself of this delish (and economical) treat. So when the hubby got home from work, we loaded up the pup in the car and headed off to the land of wonder, albeit lactose-filled wonder. In no time at all, Elly was enjoying a scoop of B&R vanilla ice cream. She was doing fine licking the ice cream out of the dish, but got greedy at one point and tried to swallow the whole scoop in one mouthful. That proved both messy & ineffective, and the scoop of divine goodness fell from her little puppy jowls and was quickly caught in the original cup, with only minimal dripping on the back seat of the car. Glenn & I took turns holding the cup for her, as she does not have opposable thumbs, and got a sticky lick for thanks. I got 3 scoops of yumminess, one each of Charlie Brown, Pralines & cream, and mint chocolate chip. So good, so very good. Glenn got 3 scoops of various espresso/coffee flavors. Blah. And afterwards, we made a quick trip to the video store where we used our FREE RENTAL to get Night at the Museum, my pick of course. There is no better way to end the old humpday than to enjoy cheap ice cream and a free movie. Days like this, I know that God and the powers that be are winking at me, with just a little hint of a smile. Man, it's sweet to be me! Hope your day is half as good. And hit your local Baskin Robbins for a great deal tonight! Get the chocolate/peanut butter. You'll thank me for it. Unless of course you have peanut allergies, then get something else. Beth
