Crappy Mondays
On the health front, I feel like crapola. CD is crazy busy in my guts. Friday I had a combo upper endoscopy/capsule endoscopy procedure done. It was miserable but I don't remember too many details. My surgeon said she gave the most amount of meds that she had ever given one human being. And she was shocked that I was standing up afterwards, all by myself. Having a high med tolerance can be a witch, an expensive witch at that. I swallowed the capsule and the doc was going to push it into the lower intestine with a pediatric scope. The scope wasn't big enough unfortunately, and so they went after it again with a little grabber. The capsule got stuck in the basket grabber tool and they had to bring the capsule back up. After that, they took a few more tries and finally got the capsule down there. 8 hours later, they took off the pack and I was free to go. I hope this capsule study sheds some light on what is going on with the CD. Until then, it is percocet and heating pads and saltines and phenergan. Yeah. Happy Monday. Beth

Hey, Everyone needs bragging rights. And having a high med tolerance can be pretty cool sometimes - you can take a benedryl and still watch Saturday Night Live, you don't have to worry about accidental poisoning as much, things like this. Just try to keep yourself relaxed and calm, and make another appt. with that crazy doc as soon as they know what is up, and then take it from there. One day at a time my friend, one day at a time!
