Who'd a thunk it?

Well, after watching The Wedding Date for the 10th time or so, the hubby and I began talking about weddings in general. ~By the way, this is a really great movie with fabulous lines and hunky English gents!~ Anyhow, somehow the conversation merged both Christmas and weddings. At this point, I mentioned my distate for December weddings, as I think they are extraordinarily rude at the worst, and very poorly planned in the least. I then wrangled the conversation to Glenn's previous wife, and asked him when they had married. After a confused, slightly terror-filled expression crossed over his face, he gave it some thought and said "Today.". Of all the freaking days out of the year to ask his previous wedding anniversary, I chose today. And that just happened to be his previous anniversary date. I find this very peculiar. When I further questioned Glenn as to why the tail end of November was a good time to get married, this was his reply; "It was the only month that didn't have an anniversary or birthday in it, according to the ex-wife. So that was the month she picked, and the date revolved around when the priest was available."
The truly insane part of this is that when I was a young girl, I would plan/assign my wedding month (and my subsequent, though fantasy, childrens' births), to the month without family birthdays, holidays, and I even thought to include the insanity of Back to School season. In this imaginary future, I also factored in finances, possible travel conflicts, graduations, and even weather conditions. So, unfortunately, me and g's crazy ex wife have more in common than I would have liked. P.S. Sometime during the last 5 years of our relationship, I've uncovered other commonalities between the two of us. She and I smoked the same brand of cigs, liked the same songs, have the same middle name, the same initials, and we both drank the same liquor (when I drank).

Just something to think about when your mind is wondering. Have a good day! B
